about John Kim
John Kim is a veteran product executive and Al transformation leader. Formerly the CPO of PayPal and President of three divisions (Vrbo, Expedia marketplace, Expedia platforms) he has scaled technology-driven businesses from $400M to over $1B in revenue. A former advisor to President George W. Bush on AAPI small-business policy, he holds an Economics degree from UCSB and an MBA from Chicago Booth.
Today, John serves as a Senior Advisor at Permira and co-founder of VQ Capital, where he partners with executives, investors, and entrepreneurs to accelerate innovation, design disruptive products, and integrate Al into the core of their organizations. His work spans investment, board service, and executive advisory, positioning companies to lead in fast-changing global markets.
